It’s been a very busy summer and fall for our family and things have been pretty quiet in the shop, but some big plans are in the works. We have completely gutted and reorganized our shop space to allow us to produce larger pieces and to help increase overall production. Our aim for 2019 is to restart production and to start taking more custom orders. We also have plans to display more pieces publicly and hope to also donate a few pieces to charity auctions. Critical to all of this getting off the ground is the support of my wife, who will be coming into the shop to ease the bottleneck on sanding and finishing. We have also started to invest in some new equipment to increase efficiency. We have already purchased the Festool ROTEX sander and CLEANTEC 36 dust extractor and in the New Year we will take ownership of a new bandsaw, drum sander, and drill press. It will be an interesting challenge for us to keep our small workspace functional with all of the new gear, but I think we are up to the challenge. I will post some pics of our shop when the renos are complete.
